For Hans Krause Trophy F5J and the 2026 FAI European Championship for Electric Powered Thermal Duration Gliders, we will adhere to the latest rules published by the FAI.
Over the last month, there has been some discussion regarding the use of F5J AMRTs according to the latest rules. The F5 Subcommittee, together with the EDIC WG Chairman Mr. Manfred LEX, have postponed the next rules regarding AMRTs until 1st January 2027. You will find below the technical notice and the list of authorized AMRTs for this summer.
Safety Notice – Airspace Restrictions and Flying Schedule
Air intake systems and any system which modifies the measurement of the AMRT are prohibited, according to EDIC Regulation 4.1.3.
Alcohol Restrictions: To ensure the safety of all participants, strict alcohol limits will be enforced throughout the event in strict compliance with French regulations (Blood alcohol concentration: 0.2 mg/L)
